introduction

When we talk about FarmSense Soil Intelligence System it uses an advanced sensors to analyze soil moisture, nutrients, and temperature in real time, which help farmers make smarter decisions, improve crop health, and boost sustainable agricultural productivity let dive into what Sesi Technologies talk about FarmSense soil intelligence system and how it will the citizens and the universities of Ghana.

Sesi Technologies, an indigenous Ghanaian agri-tech company, has introduced FarmSense, a cutting-edge agricultural tool intended to assist smallholder farmers in making data-driven choices to enhance crop performance, soil health, and nutrient management.
Isaac Sesi, the company’s founder and CEO, oversaw the ceremonial inauguration on Tuesday at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.

Isaac Sesi noted following the ceremony that the product is the result of years of study, cooperation, and hard work. He also that the official launch of the FarmSense Soil Intelligence System at KNUST is the result of over two years of hard work, He claims that FarmSense is the result of a partnership between Sesi Technologies, Manchester Metropolitan University, and KNUST’s Dipper Lab under the African Agriculture Knowledge Transfer Programme (AAKTP), which is supported by Innovate UK.

He went to say that Our goal with FarmSense is to give African farmers access to soil intelligence and make it easier for them to understand what’s happening in their soil,” Sesi said. “We want farmers to understand precisely what kind and amount of nutrients they need to maximize their yields.”

According to him, the FarmSense system consists of a software component that combines sensor readings with data from various sources and a hardware soil sensor that detects important soil properties. “All of this data is then transformed into meaningful, actionable insights by machine learning algorithms,” Sesi continued.

throughout addition to hardware and software, FarmSense offers digital tools designed for smallholder farmers and organizations throughout Africa.

The Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, John Dumelo, the Provost of KNUST’s College of Engineering, the Administrator of the Ghana National Research Fund, and representatives from the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, the Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, FSRP, RISA, and Impact Investing Ghana were among the prominent guests who attended the launch.

“Our UK colleagues John Clayton, Richard Lamb, Ali Bashir, and Mohammed Al-Khalidi also joined us virtually,” Sesi said.

He thanked all of the many funders, partners, and supporters who helped make the initiative a success. “I would like to express my gratitude to the UK Government and Innovate UK for providing the funding, to our partners at KNUST and MMU for their leadership, and to RISA for the subsequent funding for commercialization,” he stated.

He thanked his board members, personal supporters, the entire Sesi Technologies team, iSDA Africa, and early adopters like Agrisolve, Wami Agro, Warc, AFAP, and Tradebay. “We’re thrilled to be among those driving this transformation, and a lot of positive things are happening in Ghana and throughout African agriculture,” he stated.

He concluded with optimism about the future of the initiative, remarking and went to say that this is just the beginning of the FarmSense journey, and we as a tech team can’t wait to go further with Ghana.

Conclusion

Flooding at the FarmSense Soil Intelligence System that empowers farmers with accurate, real-time data about how their soil’s condition looks like. By studying and understanding moisture, nutrients, and temperature levels, this practice can make effective and smarter decisions, protect resources, that can improve crop performance in recent times . This technology basically will supports healthier harvests and encourages more efficient, sustainable farming practices.Read more on Top AI Tools in 2025: How Artificial Intelligence Is Changing the Way We Work
